At my bakery, I bake everything from scratch and that's why my cookies taste so good!
Every thick and buttery cookie is handmade and hand decorated.
My sugar cookie ingredients are simple:
Flour, cane sugar, fresh butter, farm fresh eggs, pure vanilla extract and sea salt.
You can't beat fresh and simple!
I believe that beautiful, delicious cookies make people happy.
Especially when their name is piped on with royal icing =)
I began baking and decorating sugar cookies in 2004, when my daughters were in preschool and I was suffering from a slight case of OCD wanting to decorate their birthday cakes and favors to match the invites.
Turns out, I was pretty good at it =D
Before putting on an apron and arming myself with a rolling pin, I worked in corporate sales for Colgate-Palmolive and then 12 + years as a sales rep in the pharmaceutical industry.
In 1998, I earned a pastry and baking certificate from the Peter Kump Cooking School, which is now known as the Institute of Culinary Education (I.C.E) in NYC.
I now live in the gorgeous Highlands region of northern New Jersey with my hubby, my two teen daughters and Charlie, the-best-pooch-ever.
